The conclusion of construction between 5th Avenue South and Hiawatha Avenue marks the completion of the following project elements:
- Reconstruction of 22 blocks of East Lake Street for the first time in more than 50 years
- Over 150 new combination pedestrian and street lights
- Up to 15% more sidewalk space
- 25% reduction in crosswalk distance at intersections as a result of new bump-outs
- New shelters at all bus stops
- 15 news corrals
- Over 75 new bike loops
- Over 1500 feet of parking lot screening with over 60 decorative piers
- Over 50 waste receptacles
- 4 stormwater quality treatment structures
- Over 100 new shrubs
- Over 300 new trees
